Versla – Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026. Applies to version 2.0 of the app.

Versla is an Android shopping-list app published on Google Play by Anthony Mirely. This page says what information the app handles, why, and what you can do about it.

What Versla stores about you

This is kept so that your lists are there on every device you sign in on and so that you can share them.

What other people can see

People on the same list as you see your name, the items you added and the items you ticked off. They also see the photos you attached to items on that list. They do not see your email address or your other lists. Nobody else can read your lists. Anyone you give a list's share code or link to can join that list; the owner of a list can remove people and can change the code.

Usage statistics and crash reports

The app reports which features are used, how fast it runs and what went wrong when it crashes. These reports carry technical details of your device, such as its model, Android version and a number that identifies the app's installation. They never include what is on your lists, your name or your email address.

You can turn this off in the app: tap your initial in the top right corner and switch off Share usage and crash reports.

Who processes the information

Versla runs on Firebase, a service of Google. Accounts, lists and reports are stored on Google's servers and handled under Google's privacy terms for Firebase. The services used are Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring.

Photos are stored with Supabase, a hosting service, under Supabase's privacy policy. A photo is reached through a private link kept with the list item; anyone who has that link can open the photo until it is deleted.

When you add items by voice, your phone's own speech service turns what you say into text. Versla receives only the text.

Your information is not sold, and the app shows no advertising.

What stays on your phone

A copy of your lists so the app works without a connection, the names of items you have added before so it can suggest them, and a few settings. This is removed when you log out or uninstall the app, and it is not included in device backups.

How long information is kept

Your account and lists are kept until you delete them. Deleting a list deletes its items and the photos you attached to them. A photo is also deleted when you remove it from its item. Usage statistics and crash reports are kept for the periods Google sets for those services.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and everything it owns in the app or by email. How to delete your account.

Children

Versla is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has created one, write to the address below and it will be deleted.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
