Versla – Delete your account and data
Versla is an Android shopping-list app published on Google Play by Anthony Mirely. This page explains how to delete your Versla account and the data linked to it.
In the app (version 2.0 and later)
- Open Versla and tap your initial in the top right corner.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type your password and confirm. If you signed in with Google there is no password to type; if the app asks you to log in again first, log out, log in, and repeat these steps within a few minutes.
The deletion happens at once and cannot be undone.
By email (any version)
- Send an email to anthonymirely@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Versla account.
- Send it from the email address you used to sign up for Versla, so the request can be matched to your account.
- You will get a reply confirming the deletion once it is done, within 30 days of your request.
What is deleted
- Your account: your name, email address and sign-in credentials.
- The shopping lists you created and the items in them. They also disappear for the people you shared them with.
- Your place on lists other people shared with you.
- The photos you attached to items.
- Photos attached with versions of the app before 2.0, when you ask by email. Deleting in the app does not reach those.
What is kept
- Items you added to a list owned by someone else stay in that list, without your account details.
- Usage statistics and crash reports that are not linked to your name or email address may be kept until Google's usual retention period ends.
Guests
If you use Versla as a guest, your guest account and its lists are deleted when you log out.
Deleting only some of your data
You can delete individual lists and items yourself inside the app at any time. To have specific data removed without deleting your account, email the address above and describe what you want removed.
